Free Demo Classes with Heartsong Music

 Tuesday, September 2, 2014

Heartsong Music will offer free sample classes September 2nd through September 6th, 2014. Carey Youngblood, the Director of Heartsong Music, shares all you need to know to take advantage of this local Music Together® program in this sponsored post.

Where can you have uninterrupted musical playtime with your child, meet other moms, dads, and families, and be a part of a wonderful musical community while supporting your child’s musical development as she learns important life skills? Heartsong Music!

Heartsong Music teaches Music Together®, the internationally recognized music and movement program for children from birth through age 9—and the grownups who love them. Beloved by millions of children, parents, and early childhood educators for over 25 years, Music Together connects families across the globe as they express and explore the basic human instinct for making music!

Classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical and can learn to sing in tune and keep a beat, provided that their early environment supports such learning. The program also strongly emphasizes adult participation! Regardless of your own musical ability you can learn to nurture and enhance your child's musical development as well as experience the joy so many parents and caregivers feel while singing and dancing with other families. Even if you don't think you are "especially musical,” Heartsong’s talented and highly trained teachers create a relaxed and playful environment that will help you feel comfortable discovering your own "inner musician!” And most adults say they grow musically, too, right along with their child!

Some benefits you can expect to receive from attending Heartsong’s Music Together classes:

  • Our classes provide an opportunity for immersion in live singing, movement, and instrument play and exposure to different kinds of music, tonalities, meters, and rhythms.
  • This is a fun activity that includes the entire family: parents, grandparents, and siblings all make music together in the same class!
  • You will connect with a wonderful community of families, and both you and your child can meet new friends.
  • This is a research-based music education program, and Music Together supports your child's music development from birth through age 9
  • Music Learning Supports All Learning®! Your child will experience growth in her social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development, and in her confidence, self-esteem, and creative expression.
  • You will receive creative ideas on how to incorporate music into your daily life.
  • We honor all developmental stages and learning styles.
  • You and your child will bond and spend quality time together, while having fun being playful, silly, and creative!

Free Fall Demo Classes at TuneBugz!

 Monday, August 25, 2014

Miss Amber and Poppy at TuneBugz!

TuneBugz! invites you and your child, newborn to age 5, to give their unique Music Together program a try for free this fall.

The ladies at TuneBugz! love Music Together because children learn music the same way they learn to walk and talk: by observing those with whom they have a close, personal bond. That is why parents, caregivers and a child's community play such an important role in a child's musical development.

TuneBugz! classes become a community of families with young children sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement and dance activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance oriented setting. This is the developmentally appropriate way for children to learn and grow musically, cognitively, socially, and physically. It's a ton of fun and a wonderful musical start for Austin's infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Celebrate Sing With Your Child Month in March with Heartsong Music

 Monday, March 17, 2014

Heartsong Music will offer free sample classes March 18 - April 2, 2014. Carey Youngblood, the Director of Heartsong Music, shares all you need to know to take advantage of this local Music Together® program.

March is a month that symbolizes rebirth and growth, which reminds us of our most precious resource—our children! We celebrate Sing With Your Child Month in March to commemorate the importance of singing, dancing, and making music with our children.

Music making is integral to children's overall development. In fact, a number of studies suggest that parents who make music with their children will help them develop better linguistic and cognitive capabilities. Childhood music development is a natural process, just like language development, and the model of a music-making parent is essential to the child's musical growth.

As parents, we have only a finite amount of time to connect with our children before they grow up. When we take the time to sing and make music as a family, we form everlasting bonds, which ultimately allow our children to feel safe and secure as they grow, putting them on the road to future successes.

In addition to the bonding that occurs when parents sing and make music with their children, the children grow into confident music-makers who are able to participate with joy in the music of their culture. And, since music learning supports all learning, the children’s creativity, self-expression, and confidence are also nurtured, as well as their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Here is the beauty: music making with children doesn’t require special skills or "musical talent." In fact, this may be the one time in your life when the audience, e.g. your children, will always be thrilled with your participation—and want more! These experiences will live in your children's memories for the rest of their lives and help them develop all the necessary qualities to grow into loving, confident adults.

The impact of singing and making music with your child is immeasurable, and the rewards of this simple act will help us make the world a much better place than it is now.

In celebration of Sing With Your Child Month, Heartsong Music is offering the following free Music Together® classes:
Click here to sign up NOW for one of these free classes and please bring a friend, too!

Learn fun ways to sing and play musically with your child by joining us for our 10-week Spring Session of Music Together, which starts March 31stand goes through June 9th. Register NOW for the session online at www.HeartsongMusic.net or call (512) 371-9506.
