Create Your Own… Rock Art

1 and 2:30 p.m.; Free Program

Few things have staying power like rock art. Discover how people wrote these ancient stories on stone, and create unique rock art pieces of your own. Free, but space is limited – pick up a boarding pass when you arrive at the Museum. This 45-minute program is ideal for families with children ages six and up.

Where will your imagination take you? Drop in anytime for story time, where families enjoy a unique exhibit experience geared just to them with hands-on activities, stories, games and an invitation to learn more in the exhibits.

Free admission to the exhibits for Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo Day! The Rodeo activities (live auctioneer, live music etc.) are part of a private event, but the exhibits will be open to the public.  It will likely be quite loud in the Museum due to the private event, as a heads up if you have a little one who is sensitive to noise.

Photo Scavenger Hunt


Explore the Bullock Museum in a whole new way – with your camera! Pick up a free gallery scavenger hunt at the ticketing counter. Once you complete the tasks, bring it back to the counter and collect your prize.

Plus! A free set of mammal trading cards for everyone who buys admission to the exhibit, Extreme Mammals: The Biggest, Smallest, and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time, which closes March 23, 2014.

Please note that regular admission to the exhibits applies every day except Friday. For more information, visit the Bullock Museum website.
