Austin Children's Museum is kicking off Engineers Week with two days of engineering fun!
Visit the Museum on Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for the 12th Annual Engineer's Day hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Greater Austin Contractors and Engineers Association (ACEA). Thanks to ASCE, the first 400 kids get in FREE!
Come back on Sunday, February 17, 2013, from 12 - 5 p.m. to meet inspiring University of Texas student engineers and have fun with great hands-on activities! Thanks to UT Student Engineering Council, the first 100 kids get in FREE!
The new feature exhibit, Think.Do.Make, which opened earlier this month, offers a mix of science and engineering learning experiences served up with a creative twist of art, invention and design/build challenges. Think.Do.Make is a sneak preview of concepts for the new Museum opening at Mueller later this year.
Regular museum admission applies for adults on both days. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $6.50 for age 2 and up, $4.50 for 12 - 23 months, and free for under 12 months. The Museum is free for everyone on Sunday from 4 - 5 p.m., and any time upon request through their Open Door Policy.
