Free “Magical Marionettes” Puppet Shows
Wednesday, March 7, 2012
Families are invited to enjoy the wonder and artistry of the Harms-Jarry Marionettes for free on March 10 and 11, 2012. Music Forever Music Together, which offers early childhood music and movement classes in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, and Oak Hill, is sponsoring the presentation of “Magical Marionettes,” a variety show featuring handmade, wooden marionette puppets that dazzle the eyes and imaginations of children of all ages. The free puppet shows will be at Central Market North in Austin on Saturday, March 10 at noon, and on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the BabyEarth store in Round Rock.
The “Magical Marionettes” variety show features characters such as marionette jugglers, singers, soldiers, acrobats, musicians, dancers, skeletons, grandparents and animals, creating a magical world of stories and personalities that delight both children and parents with their amazing ability to move in ways you never thought a puppet could. The unique style of marionette-makers and master puppeteers Don Harms and Heather Jarry brings these creatures to life both on stage and in the imagination.
