Chalk Walk and Arts Festival in Round Rock

Join the Round Rock Area Arts Council for the 2nd Annual Chalk Walk and Arts Festival in Downtown Round Rock this weekend. The events begin Friday, October 7 at 5:30 p.m. and continue on 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8. Stroll along Main Street as artists create chalk drawings on the pavement, and enjoy food, art vendors and booths, live music, art demonstrations and the Take A Seat art chair auction. Admission is free. Vendors and concessions will be on-site. Children's games and rides will cost extra.
On Friday, October 7, artists will begin working on Main Street beginning at 2 p.m. Music will start at the new Main Street Plaza main stage next to City Hall with Woot Talley at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Inside Out Steel Band at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, October 8, the fun will start at 9:30 a.m. Activities will include:
- More than 50 chalk artist on the street
- Kids’ chalk walk
- Plein Air art demonstration
- Exhibit at the ArtSpace
- Youth performance stage
- Art vendors and booths
- Artist demonstrations
- Kids fun area with free and low cost interactive art and games
- Race2U Slot Car Racing
- Meet the mini horses and Lewis the mini donkey that creates art!
