If you're hoping to see fireworks this Fourth of July, you may have to drive a bit.  According to this KVUE article, Horshshoe Bay, Marble Falls, Kingsland, and Andice will be hosting fireworks displays.  Georgetown and Kyle are also still planning to have fireworks (see details below).  Be sure to check the event websites before heading out, though, as fireworks may still be canceled before Monday.


Austin
Buda
  • Red, White 'n Buda - Monday, July 4.  A celebration of patriotism observed across the USA and held in Downtown Buda. This celebration includes a morning children’s parade and evening live music. Scheduled events include a Children’s Parade at 10 a.m. in the parking lot across from Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant on Main Street and ends at City Park. Decorated bikes, wagons, scooters, strollers and more. Free Children’s activities and a magician from 10 a.m. – noon. At 6 p.m. in City Park, there will be a concert. Musical Lineup includes: Keith Kelso, Kevin Smith and headliner “The Trishas”.Buda City Park.
Cedar Park
  • Fourth of July in Milburn Park  - Monday, July 4. Come celebrate and enjoy a dance with live music, food concessions, air castles, face painting, carnival games, bingo, hamster balls, video games, laser tag, sack races, a washer tournament, art projects, and enjoy free watermelon.  You may also cool off in Milburn Pool, which is open from 1 - 8 p.m. with daily pool admission rates applying. The fireworks have been postponed, but you can enjoy a free "electrifying" performance by ArcAttack at 9:30 p.m.  ArcAttack appeared on America's Got Talent.
  • Military Receive Free Admission to Cedar Park Pools - Monday, July 4. 
Elgin
  • 4th of July Parade (pdf) - Monday, July 4 at 10 a.m. Push, Pedal, Pull and Pets is the theme of the annual parade and celebration held each year on the Fourth of July. It is a fun event for children, pets, adults, seniors and veterans. Everyone is invited to walk down historic Main Street from City Hall to the Veterans’ Memorial Park for a celebration of our nations’ freedom. All non-motorized entries are accepted. Food and fun follow the parade with a short program and a Soap Box Derby exhibition by the local Cub Scouts. Georgetown
  • SERTOMA's 28th Annual 4th of July in San Gabriel Park - The festivities will begin at 11:00 a.m. with over 80 arts and crafts booths, food vendors, and Kid's area. Musical entertainment, featuring some of the best local and central Texas talent, will begin at the Gazebo at 11:00 a.m. and continue all day. A “Hometown Parade”, sponsored by the Leadership Georgetown Alumni, will begin at noon in the park. Children will have opportunities for games, activities, petting zoo, train rides and face painting in the Children's Area.  The fireworks show is still scheduled to occur at this time.  Check the website for updates.  San Gabriel Park.
  • Red, White & Blue Celebration - Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. For preschool through age 7.  Georgetown Public Library.
Kyle
  • Independence Day Celebration - Monday, July 4 at about 9:30 p.m.  Join in the celebration of Independence Day this July 4th as the City of Kyle once again has planned for a spectacular fireworks show.  The Kyle Independence Day Celebration Fireworks Show has moved to the south-west corner of Kyle Parkway and Kohler's Crossing. Please note: There Will Be NO Viewing From Plum Creek Golf Course and the Golf Course Parking Lot Will Be Closed to ALL Vehicles.  Due to limit space at Gregg-Clarke Park, the fireworks show this year has moved to the Plum Creek Golf Course's Practice/Driving Range.  Before it gets dark on July 4th, find a safe and secure location around the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) or anywhere around the intersection of Kyle Parkway and Kohler's Crossing. The show can also be seen from the parking lots around H-E-B, Subway, What-A-Burger and Kohl's.  The fireworks display is still scheduled to occur at this time.  Check the city website for updates.
    Lakeway
    • July 4th Celebration - Monday, July 4, from 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.  8:30 a.m. - Parade up Lakeway Drive from Live Oak Golf Course to The Lakeway Church.  10:30 a.m. - Pageant of Flags - Activity Center - Meet Grand Marshal, Colonel Charles Edwards. Patriotic speeches and music and parade ribbons will be presented.  Noon - Swim Center opens with $3/person special pricing until 9 p.m.  5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Old Fashioned Block Party at **Swim Center Park**, located adjacent to the Swim Center at 3103 Lakeway Blvd featuring the band Duck Soup. Come out and dance under the music tent! Big fun for the whole family! Food, BYOB (beer & blanket), lasertag, inflatables and carnival rides for the kids! Enjoy the evening! Happy 4th of July! Due to severe drought conditions, there will be no fireworks this year.
    Leander
    • 10th Annual Leander LibertyFest - Monday, July 4, from 6 - 10 p.m.  LibertyFest is Leander's annual July 4th celebration featuring live music, good food, a first-ever laser light show, and fun for the whole family!  It is free and will be held at Crystal Falls Golf Club.
    Round Rock
    • Frontier Days - Monday, July 4. The City’s annual July Fourth parade, Movies in the Park (sponsored by Time Warner Cable), Pepper Eating Contest, Sam Bass Shootout, enhanced skydivers show with surprise special guest, Duck Races and the entire Frontier Days schedule of events will continue as planned at Old Settlers Park. The annual July Fourth Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. in Downtown Round Rock. After the parade, guests are invited to Old Settlers Park, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd., for the Frontier Days Celebration beginning at noon to enjoy vendor booths, pony rides, a pepper eating contest, skydivers, a cowboy sing-a-long, duck races, culinary delights and re-enactments of the historic Sam Bass Shootout.  At dusk, you can choose from two free movies in the park: Iron Man 2 or Despicable Me. (Schedule of events and times).
    • Brushy Creek 4th of July Parade and Festival - Monday, July 4. Parade starts at 9:30 a.m. at Northfield and Liberty Walk, ending in Cat Hollow Park.  From 10 a.m. to noon, the public is invited to a festival featuring a bounce house, water slides,a trackless train, games, face and hair painting, and a spray down from the Sam Bass Fire Department Firetruck.  Cat Hollow Park.
    San Marcos
    • SummerFest San Marcos - Monday, July 4, from 5 - 11 p.m.  The City of San Marcos is hosting the most exciting community independence celebration at a new location this year. This FREE event will feature live entertainment, food booths, children's activities, childrens costume competition and parade. Summerfest will be held on the grounds of San Marcos Plaza Park. Rain or shine, festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a variety of musical and family entertainment until 11:00 p.m. San Marcos Plaza.
    Wimberley
    • Old Fashioned Parade - Monday, July 4 at 10 a.m. The parade will meander through town on RR12 toward the Wimberley Square and turn left onto Old Kyle Road.  Roads will close at 9 a.m. so get your place early.
    • Annual Community 4th of July Jubilee - Monday, July 4, from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Don't miss the family fun, food and entertainment at this year's 4th of July Jubilee. This annual community event is free to all. There will be live music, family fun, entertainment and great food! Under the shade trees at Ozona Bank, RR12.
