Children's Day Art Park!
Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Children's Day Art Park is one of my absolute favorite events, so I wanted to make sure you had these dates well in advance! Starting June 9, The Austin Symphony will host Children's Day Art Park on Wednesdays (except June 30) from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in Symphony Square Amphitheatre.
At Children's Day Art Park you can enjoy 10¢ lemonade, an instrument petting zoo (where kids can try their hand at various instruments), free balloons, bubbles galore, roving musicians (including a real Pied Piper), storytellers, magicians, free crafts, free face painting, and more! There are often surprises, like free Blue Bell ice cream, too.
Admission is 50¢ per child. Adults are free!
2010 Performance Schedule
June 9 – Roy Lozano’s Ballet Folklorico
June 16 – Joe McDermott
June 23 – Staci Gray
June 30 – No Children’s Day … Happy July 4th!
July 7 – Lucas Miller
July 14 – Jon Emory
July 21 – Beto y los Fairlanes
July 28 – Biscuit Brothers
